Nice kit there dmdigital. Very good choices IMHO. I have a smaller VBM and it rocks .... makes a better cup than my Bezzera Galatea.

Now all you need is a roaster! I made my own roaster using a bread maker and heat gun and it's been running now for two years. I roast every week, so there is no end of fresh coffee at my place. I can recommend roasting at home and it only takes a half hour at the most.

Hope you enjoy your new machines.

    Cheers,
    Daryl.

    Nice set up mate.

Did they give you some Kilos of coffee to run the grinder in?

Anyhow, enjoy the smell and taste of fresh coffee, there is nothing like it.

    Well done.

They gave me a kilo of coffee but not for running in. I enquired about this and the K3T should be OK. Certainly the first couple of grinds seem good and consistent.

Did they say what the running in does? All I can think of is to clean any oil off the burrs or mechanism from manufacture. Eww.

But if that's the case, you'd think a kilo of Vittoria and half a dozen baskets of good stuff would sort you right.

No they didn't but I would think the same and also coat the surfaces with the coffee oils.

No marshmallow. I'll get BM to write out the recipe and PM you.

No didn't get to them when we were in Melbourne last month. But after talking to Chris it was obviously the place to buy from. Might do something if we get down there again this year.
