 ...scary that is what my wife calls me!
She occassionally calls me other names too.
cheers,

This thread actually annoy's me as it has an agenda. About half way through as did many.....twig that OP worked for a dealer. What also amazes me, is rather than think what a powerful source of information this site is to perhaps better their own dealership/dealerships in general/LRA.....was to have more of a "boo hoo" don't be mean about the dealerships/ service. PEOPLE COMPLAIN BECAUSE SOMETHING ISN'T RIGHT.
Bloody hell....by using this site and garnishing information on various issues.....would save them $000's as opposed to using an outsourced agency to do customer surveys.
As for "bashing".....ahhhh in over 4+ yrs yet to read it. People will ask for assistance, express frustration over inherent problems or problems they experience with service. The attitude if I was a dealer/ working in a dealership would be how can we be better........not hush up about it and sweep it under the carpet.

Stevo
I think you've expressed that perfectly Stevo...
But I'll chip in my 2 bobs worth anyhow..
I'm here to:
1) Meet like minded folk who have LR Green blood like me
2) Enhance my knowledge & learn more about different LR models etc
3) Share my knowledge and help others
4) Truthfully - To sell my products to LR enthusiasts
4 came about from being contiually stung by the big players and dealers..
I found my own sources, drew my own templates, made my own jigs etc..
I tried and tested multiple combinations until I found those that work.
Then I either offer them for sale, or pass my knowledge onto others to duplicate.
I will also help a fellow LR owner where I can, being located where I am is also a good thing... People in trouble in this neck of the woods can call on me for help - If I can, I will......
In my opinion, this is what the site is for.
One thing I've noticed about LR owners (which I believe sets them apart from most of the others) is their passion and willingness to help other LR owners.
I've been given free parts and free labor by some fellas here. Makes you feel like you're part of a community.
Like I've said, I have no love for modern Land Rovers, then again I have no hatred for them here. What keeps me interested are the people here and on other LR forums.
I mean heck, one guy here saved me big bucks by changing my Subaru clutch for me after I blew it and couldn't afford to get it fixed (I was a mega mechanic noob at that point). He knows who he is and knows I appreciated it.
I actually agree with your latest comments about this website Subasurf.
I would just ask one thing of you. Please don't call me Sweet Cheeks again ...people might start talking!
cheers,
Terry
