Hi UncleHo, the ones being referred to in NSW are not where there is a dedicated turn left lane but are placed at a normal street corner and the problem is that people see the sign as nothing more than an excuse to go through a red light at any time no matter if there is on coming traffic or not.

It literally makes the green light for on coming traffic a DEADLY waste of time.

I reckon the prawn who shoots op the left hand side in the turning lane and merges right after the intersection is right up there in the Fwit stakes.
