Call me a cynic but... Some people forget the past easily. Remember Joan kerner (not sure of the spelling) Got a dud election coming and don`t want to take the fall? Slide in a mega distraction. Hmm lest see a female P.M . And if the distraction actualy gets over the line and wins the election the boys vote them selves in again. Yes it`s a great moment for women and politics, but I`m just a bit sceptical about the whole deal. And the other choice is the same policies that we voted in K Rud to get rid of. Ok if you are not one of the working masses but I work for a wage so don`t wan`t Howard revisited.

Well why not just dissolve the government and hand power over to Santos. At lest then Australian politics will look the way it really is.

What I get a kick out of are things like this

I guess she don’t know that communism didn’t tax any thing or any one and people like her who disagreed with the government usually just disappeared.

Convictions? courage? He stuck with the super tax didn’t he? credibility? The GFC had little or no effect on Australia, there were no riots no mass redundancies or mass closures, obviously he did some thing correct.

and if you don't vote here in Qld you get fined $20.If you don't pay that fine it goes to court and then if you don't pay you are classed as a fine defaulter which goes to a government department who have the power to get it anyway possible.I was in a pub in Ipswich when the Qld police moved in,asked everyone their names ;checked on a computer,nabbed one bloke who said "me" I,ve never been in any trouble in my life answer " you didn't vote once' took him away and locked him up for the night. Sheez. What is Australia coming too. I know of another who had his drivers license suspended for the same reason.
