Moderation on OTHER forums....

I know a forum where "cockroach" is banned but "Oh Christ" is allowed, which seems a bit inconsistent. OK to blaspheme, but not to name an insect?

Agreed. At least we share a common interest. I'll go out on a limb here and say that my other automotive passion is Volvo.... Volvo fanatics are a lot similar to Landy fanatics. A passionate minority supporting a fantastic, severly under rated vehicle that has done so much pioneering in advancing technology. Are there any other like minded Landy enthusiasts out there???? (please be kind)!!! PS. I drove a Volvo 240 for 10 years before I got my Disco so I have heard all the jokes....just like the oil leak jokes about my Disco!!!!! ARRRRRGHHHH.

But, since you're a Mod on another forum, you might just know how boring and time-consuming chasing stuff like swear filter dodging.

Carrying a chip around over a swear filter warning for four months seems a little much to me, but there you go.

Lots of forums are really over moderated, this place can be a pain, because of the stupid ****ing **** of a **** swear filter... no more dodging that as i already have a "infraction" also because of some very anal spelling fanatics, but not as bad as other forums i use.

I was banned from an aussie prado forum for a month for posting items for sale, the sale threads put me over the needed post limit to be allowed to post for sale, but they still banned me, though it may have had something to do with the fact the site admin was trying to sell the same items as me but with a higher price

my PMs to mods/admin went unanswered on there too, it was rather annoying.
