    Rover 3.5 Coffee table

I need your input to make a decision , I've got a 3.5L bottom end sitting on the garage floor and am toying with idea of turning it into a Coffee table.

It's not like this hadn't been done before , so I get no points for originality

    question is ...

Should I rebuild the 3.5L or make a Coffee table.

3.5 is probably worth more as a coffee table.

So, any spare seats lying around?

I was planning to do the same using a fully assembled cylinder head, inset into a box in the centre of a timber table with a glass top. You need to put some sort of lacquer on the engine quick smart though. I degreased mine and by the morning it was covered in surface rust and ended up in the bin.

It's a cool idea. Saw the Porsche kit, done on Top Gear.

It's a pretty safe bet as far as engine choice goes, at least if you put a rice custard down on it the skin won't get pulled off

I like the v8 crankshaft one personally

4 pistons face down 4 pistons face up (suitabley welded at the big end) and the upright ones support the glass.
