Have a look at the earthcruiser motorhome site, they do a really interesting body on their 4x4 chassis. It's also available seperately,I was looking at them down the caravan-camping show a few weeks back. There is also another similar outfit but I'd have to look up their details.

Do a bit of research on the problem with the Fuso - their chassis is only 4mm thick. The guys at "All Terrain Warriors" - they actually built the Earthcruiser prototype - they specialise in the Fuso campers and uses know how to mount a camper box properly - if you get it wrong you can break the chassis. Other problems include the shock mounts breaking off, prop shafts snapping. There are a lot of threads on the various expedition website that show the problems with getting the mounts wrong and various other thing. Put it this way - if they were so good - then the military would use them.
The "bare" Earthcruiser fibreglass box cost $35K by the way - a fully fitted out one cost $120K with basic options.
Also beware of manufacturers that down-rate the trucks to get under 4500kg so you can drive them on a car licence and don't have to get a safety certificate every year. The problem with that is it only comes with a 55lt water tank, 90lt fuel tank and no winches. Once you fit all the gear you actually need - you're up over 5 tons - so permanently overloaded.
