    Only via surplus auctions. Not many left in the system I would say. Once heard that there was a paddock full but that was a few years ago.

    A bit unfortunate the ones you are looking at do not have winches. A vast majority of the ones I drive past here in the Manawatu (I live and work 25km & 10km from the Linton Army base) have front mounted winches. I would deem it rare to see one without one. Other than enjoying seeing them I know nothing about them.

    I hope a build thread is coming...

    Not sure what you'd get inside, but not a bad base to start from. Should be water/dust proof.

    You could use the lights and the power entry and distribution panel. After that I would say it would be gut the thing.

    What size do they say it is? Given the ISO corner pockets it might be a 20 footer. Then again if German then they would use Mogs as well!
