it is usually transport on a truck with a roof rack, never over the front. Generally the truck has the width so they are contained with in the trucks dimensiopns, not over hanging the sides
Some one said that those mesh wind screen protectors could be said to obscure vision, there is a difference, it is finer mesh yes but being closer to the eyes it is less obtrusive, like looking through the curtain fabric, but a thicker mesh and layers of it will obstruct more.

Winsock, I notice you are in NZ, do you ever watch Motorway patrol? Some of those drivers they catch aren't doing it the right way.:D.

I can tell you it aint no fun when the drivers load falls off in front of you when your in motion.

When I concreted my carport I got 2 sheets of mesh 2.4 metres by 6 metres. The crane bloke picked up the 2 sheets at one end, neatly rolled that end to the other end and tied them together. Then deposited the tube on my car trailer where I tied it down, only 2 metres wide then. Very neat. Would also fit on a standard 8x5 trailer that way.

Seems unlikely the police actually took this photo, but no doubt they have talked to the driver.

In this age of any news, etc, etc, is it remotely possible that an avid Hun reader, ambulance chaser, tree hugger has taken this pic on their mobile and possibly received a 'reward'?

Using a mobile while driving is a serious no no. Will this be pursued?

never assume, it might of been a passenger that took the pic, therefore they are legally allowed to use the mobile as they are not in control of the said vehicle;)
