It's a tough gig for a bloke in this modern society to go through what you are going through. We are supposed to all be John Waynes even though it's now supposed to be alright to "express you emotions"; it's still not really socially supported in my experience.
My plan to building a new life and getting strong again...
Get a therapist. Freinds are great and can't be replaced, but if you want to blubber or rant and rage it may be easier to do, especially if it takes a hundred times to get it out of your system.
Keep active, rediscover the things you used to like doing before you ended up doing more for those around you than for yourself. Now's your time for you; a rare opportunity!
Get physical, grunt and sweat. Join a gym, boxing or martial arts club. Great way for blokes to de-stress and calm the mind.
And lastly, every one says it but only because it's trues... time will fix all. Cold comfort right now but hold it in your head and know it to be true; especially when you are at your lowest.
    My two cents. Good luck.

    Ditto everyone elses comments.
Funny thing is, I've been through most of the crap except losing my wife .
Had 2 businesses go bust, lost my house twice and all of that.

Most important thing is to keep looking forward, never back. The old adage that we can only change the future, not the past is as true today as ever.

Set some achievable GOALS Simon, just little ones and once you have achieved one, reward yourself (like a trip to the bush with all of us)and then move on to the next goal. I know this sounds easy, and it is if you make the goals you set small...then build.

Now. Does anyone know what sort of work Simon does? Also where in Melbourne he lives? Pretty sure there is some well paid labouring work out there to at least get him by until he gets what he wants.

Well he might have popped back in but he seems to have forgot too either pay me or return said pump like he said he would ,

Sorry if i sound sour but i helped this guy out in one of his many hours or days of need ,

I gave him over 12 months to pay me , He ignored my emails txt,s and calls and now he,s vanished , I find it very hard to trust or help any fellow members again sad but true ,

I hope he is doing fine and has sorted his life out and wish him all the best in the future

Ill just put it down to a lesson learnt
