Have you looked at the MN Triton? Very happy with mine.

In saying this I will always have my Rangie's and the 120"

Don't know about those models but we just got a new SR Hilux at work. It is manual and cruise control only comes with the autos

We do a lot of highway kms. Bit of an oversight so I'm going to push for an aftermarket unit.

Don't get much for $50k these days.

Other than that it is alright. Bit bouncy in the rear and the factory tyres are useless off road but that just goes with all the leaf sprung utes.

This month's Australian 4WD has a "buying Used" on them.

We bought a 2x4 single cab ranger last year for work. It is early days yet but the product is good value. The only problem was the 20k service was $750 and typical crap service from Ford.

My brother's work vehicle is a 2WD Ranger. In the year or so he has had it, he has done over 50,000km and he is quite impressed. He finds it a vast improvement over the previous vehicle, a Rodeo which I think had a V6 petrol motor.

Apart from the economy and power, one thing he really likes, given what he often has to carry on the tray and the tools he has to take with him, is the way the Xtra cab works. He finds that extra space in the cab gives him a secure area for his tools, but more particularly that clever little extra door makes it very easy to get access to his toolbox.

He is quite impressed with it and since it is a vehicle supplied to him rather than one he bought, he has no axe to grind.

I hope your flash dual cab is better than the base spec single cab I drove yesterday and today.

I was pretty sure it was fitted with solid rubber tyres, concrete springs and wooden seats! Uncomfortable is an understatement.

Andy, I had a 4x2 BT-50 Freestyle Cab at my previous job for close to 12 months. I chose the vehicle and had to convince my boss to get it. He relented and now the whole fleet of 8 vehicles are this combo with a few 4x4's in there somewhere. They are a great vehicle and I can thoroughly reccomend them. The ride is good for a commercial vehicle, the economy and power is excellent. They don't suffer from the gearbox probs that affected the previous Courier/B2600's.

I have 2 of them and they are great little trucks one is 4x2 space cab and the other is 4x4 dual cab (mine), one has 60000 and the other 90000 and have never had a day off tyhe road through breakdowns yet. not too bad off road but it needs some weight in the tray. Constantly get 550-600k out of 60 ish litres. Just dont take it to ford for services, they dented the bonnet on the space cab and wouldnt take responsibility for it spo I wiped them and took it to a guy near me who did his time at ford and now the logbook services cost me half what they used to.
