    Amazing WWII sub photos

This sub is now a museum ship. It has an amateur radio station aboard, it's call letters are NJ6VT.

    WW ll Sub Photos

You may or may not be a Navy buff but these photos of the interior of a ventage 1940's American Submarine are truly amazing
... You can use your mouse and place it on the picture and click and drag the pictures for a full 360 degree view ...

You can even go up and down looking at up at the celings and down at the
floors and you can even zoom in on objects

    They are some awsome pictures.

I think I have watched too many movies but water seems to flood the sub via the torpedo tubes, sleeping there would not be my cup of tea.

    Thanks for sharing

Too claustrophobic for me, but I’d love to know how they do the photograph to be able to show the 360 degree panoramas.

This looks like the software that's used, not sure what sort of camera.

good job that they didn't have to use the ECU from a Series 2 discovery, or they would be in Davy Jones locker with the 3 amegios!

I'm guessing they're using the same 12 lens type ball camera that Google earth use. Some time ago I googled the google camera, and found out that it's resolution is much higher than HDTV. That means that while the detail of your house may seem blurry on googlemaps, in the raw data they can probably peek through your curtains.

if that's the boat that has been there for 30 years, i have toured it, friggen lot of things to hit your head on!
and it definatly cured me of any desire to be a submariner.

Anyone who has a romantic view of a submariner's life should watch the German movie "Das Boot".

In the case of this movie the boot was on the other foot.

As an aside the inside of submarines reminds me of the inside of the International Space Station....stuff everywhere...nothing like the well ordered 2001 Space Odyssey designer vision.
