Found this nifty Series 1 pic, where is it taken?

I found this photo (of another location) whilst searching for pictures of the Mt Wombat summit. If I ever see an RF transmitter on top of a mountain I seem to have this strange compulsion to drive to the top and check it out (it must be a hangover from the Climb Ev'ry Mountain sticker on my Disco). I was asking an old bloke in Gooram about the tower and he was telling me amongst other things about a bloke who committed suicide off it, which naturally caught my interest and made me want to head up there to investigate.

Anyway, all of which has nothing to do with the photo, but here it is:

It was taken in 1959, it's in Victoria. Anyone who has been there will instantly recognise the site. It's quite a prolific place, not the middle of woop woop.

    So where is it?

    Prolific?

    prolific [prəˈlɪfɪk]
adj 1. producing fruit, offspring, etc., in abundance
    2. producing constant or successful results
    3. (often foll by in or of) rich or fruitful [from Medieval Latin prōlificus, from Latin prōlēs offspring]

Sorry, producing fruit has been on my mind all week. Perhaps I should have tried "well-known".

I thought you might have known the location, didn't you work for Telstra?

I worked for the Overseas Telecommunications Commission (Australia) - OTC(A) - from 1965 until we were sucked up by Telstra. I never worked in the national network, only ever in the international side.
