    Defender side steps.

I have a 1999 Defender single cab 130 Ute and I would like to fit side steps.

Would side steps for a 90 bolt straight on, or are the body mounting points on the chassis significantly different?

Alternatively, has anyone fitted side steps to a singe cab Defender 130 Ute?

    Hi,
have just fitted dual cab defender side steps to my single cab.

One advantage of the dual cab steps is that I can use them to get up onto the tray easily, and don't need the lowered step rail that is found on most trays for this purpose.
    cheers

    Thanks for the reply.

What brand of step are they?

I also like the way you have fitted the spare under the tray.

I decided the spare wouldn't fit under there, and mounted it on the headboard of the tray.

How have you hung or supported it?

These are the steps I was thinking of using.

I just don't know if they will bolt straight on to a 130 as they are for a 90.

Not sure of the brand - second hand from a wrecked Dual Cab. I could find out if you really wanted.

They look completely different, mine mounts from an existing long bolt on the side holding the cab to the chassis, and to some bolt holes on the arms coming off the side of the chassis. There are no individual bits like illustrated in your example of the D90.
I could photograph the mounting points if you want.

    cheers
