Awesome, Andrew. I've always considered a coloured body with a white roof very posh.

If you can find a place to hide it from your mates, I'd take the roofy off until you need it. It's the one thing that turned my tdi into a bit of a drinker (relatively).

Yeah i have been intruiged by the white roof defender too..

Dfenda (his rego plate) says his was factory on his 2001 defender. wonder if it was an option... or just in true defender style was just random (as with the wing mirrors!)

Andy.. money constraints stopped me from getting the rack with the new business etc.. so left that one.. trying not to spend too much but im not winning with that at the mo new shocks, uhf, exhaust, hoses..... etc etc etc!

I have 2 heavy duty Rola bars on the roof all the while (the disco ones) and they nailed the disco economy, but seem to do nothing to the defender! (hardly surprising is it!)

    Looks good anyway Andy..

    Thanks

    Steve

I think the white or coloured roof was an Xtreme thing. The early ones 99, 2000 all had white roof like the standard 110, Then they changed to colour coded roof to make the Xtreme stand alone a bit more.

I think roof colour was dependant on country of assembly. Either UK or South Africa.

Nice one Andy, she's looking great. Hope you have many a mile of fun with her .

You're a lucky bugger, it fits in your garage. Myne is about 2" to high and that is without the roofrack .

    Cheers, Jurgens.

    The Fender club

    Hi Andy

Welcome to the club, has it been chipped yet?

Might pay to check you still have that tacho next time you leave the Cape ( a clock is more useful anyway)

Hope you don't cook it like I did mine, soon as you start loosing water from the header tank or the level seams to vary pull the cylinder head. Mine was giving those warnings.

Well done! I recon the TD5s are the pick of them other than a 4BD1T
You'll both love it Once a few quirks are sorted the TD5's are a great donk and will eat the postie van power rivals alive Flame proof suit now fitted
