SubscriberJust got some new tubeless rims fitted to the Defender as I was sick of regularly getting punctured tubes.
Then yesterday I went out into the driveway and saw the front left wheel so flat the rim was pretty much on the ground... tyre notwithstanding.
I had driven to the dump the day before so I pretty much could draw a conclusion as to what had happened.
Tyre guys pulled a 7 inch nail from inside the tyre !
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

SupporterA few decades ago I lived 13 km out of Boorowa on a property. There was no garbage collection out there so I had to do a run to the local tip every now and then.
About four or five times in a row I did a trip to the dump the day before a trip to Sydney and found the next day in Sydney that I had a flat caused by a nail in the tyre.
I can't remember ever having one as big as 7". Does size matter when you are discussing nails in tyres or is that another topic that I am thinking of?
