Depends on which vehicle I am driving...the defender...I dip the lights a soon as I see any lights as it has a couple of nice big spotlights on it...zara...there is not much difference between high and low beam so I wait a little longer before dipping them

I very rarely drive at night, it is usually going to work in the morning when it is dark

Common Courtesy and Commonsense dictates that you dip your headlights the instant you see someone ahead of you, whether going away or approaching, the clown that came up with the 200/300? metre rule is some ponce shining his bum in an office of State government and has obviously never had a car on high beam following behind, next bastard that does it to me is going to get more than he bargained for. See someone, DIP, Regards Frank.

Setting of internal and external mirrors are a matter of personal choice.
I swivel my head to see cars in lanes next to me.
