    I went the HTC Desire....awesome.
Spent last weekend rooting the phone (ie; getting root access), loosing Telstra bloatware, installing Generic HTC Android OS (which also unroots the phone) and then got the OTA Froyo update when it was released in Europe last Sunday night . All I can say is the phone is excellent - particuarly without the rubbish that Telstra puts over the top.

If the speed of light = 299,792,458 m/s, what is the speed of dark?

I've had my Nexus One for a week now and I am amazed at how good Android is. Anyone looking at an iPhone would be mad not to at least have a play with a Desire or similar in store.

Ha! That's what I thought. Then I got a Blackberry. (Wait... Am I allowed to say Blackberry in an iphone thread, will the swear filter block it out? )

Hang on... You've had the same phone 6-7 years?! How have you not killed it? I barely make 2 years! More to the point, how old were you when you got it?! You're only a young'un!

Maybe I'm just getting old... (At 23...)

the only plus is being able to store files on it imho.
have owned a new HTC Desire running Android since it's release, I'm really impressed with this little gadget . loads of features

If Apple would make a 4x4 vehichle, the iCar, with poorer specs than any Land Rover and much higher prices. People would be over the moon about it, claim that Apple re-invented off-road driving and set the benchmark for others to follow. All Land Rover models to date, and future ones, would be called a "potential" iCar-killer/wannabe.

Having that said, the iPhone 4 does seem like a really nice phone, and I wouldn't mind having one myself if they could make them less fragile. But the hype that starts prior and after every time Apple "re-invents" something can be a tad too much at times.

Dunno about the iPhone having poorer specs....One thing about Apple - all their stuff seems to polarise opinion - well maybe almost always...

Don't download any wallpaper then, mate! Otherwise the Chinese will be hacking into your QR linear rail systems!
