Android is already starting to leave iPhone behind. The speed of development is very fast.

sorry but i definitely have to beg to differ..

and i was so looking forward to getting away from itunes but the alternatives are still worse from what i can see.

just spent more than a week trying to find a phone to do what i need doing and it looks like the iphone is still the one with the features and the ease of use when it comes to being able to keep in sync with outlook etc etc

i tried a few android based phones and the interface is like stepping back into a series iii by comparison imho, maybe after a few years of iphone use i am set in my ways, maybe...

and the data syncing appears to have quite a few glitches

the desire was clunky, and about as intuitive as my left boot on a cold damp morning i thought.

the samsung wave was a good thing till i found out about the return rate and the syncing woes.

the sony phones are even worse in the sync department

in a year or so you may be on the money, but not yet i dont think.

loved to be proved wrong as i despise the itunes approach and i still have 5 days to find an alternative.

I was shown the nokia N8 last week and it looks like like it is closing the gap.

Got a 32 G Iphone 4 yesterday. Already its syncing Calendar through Google Sync back to work and home, sending and receiving mail. I have downloaded a heap of free apps that are terrific. I love it. I have just stepped from years of Nokia phones including their smart phones (but a few years old) and 2 years of Blackberry Bold ownership. I have to say I can never go back to an iphone. I just got my wife a HTC Legend which is a very cool phone also. The iphone is really amazing.

    Cheers

PS. I love the functionality. For eg I downloaded the white pages App...looked up a music place today and it asked me if I wanted to add it to contacts - said yes and all the details including address and e-mail etc are added. Then when you are on the road you can plug that into the phones map easily...it all just integrates so well! Battery life is great too for a smart phone.

    HTC Desire VS Iphone

I'm stuck between choosing the HTC or the Iphone
To me the HTC makes a lot more sense, 24 months warranty and I can get it on a $0 upfront, whereas I would have to pay $150 up front for an Iphone 4.
They say the HTC is a great phone, but the same is said about the Iphone...so I have no idea which to go for.....

    i got myself a 16g iphone 4 today..

impressed as hell... apart from itunes....

old one wasnt going to last long enough to see a nokia n8 enter the fray...

installed the free cover app, and ordered that (funny how the dearer ones take twice as long to arrive as the cheaper ones )

downloaded a few nice ringtones and am happy as a pig in poop...

bloody fast compared to an iphone 3g with the wobbles

and saving a couple of hundred a month to boot on my business plan.

I'm still iPhone 3 and will be for another 14 months I hope (because upgrading early to 4 means Ive put my 3 in the wash).

I'm a rusted on iPhone person but I'm interested to know what it is I'm supposed to hate about iTunes. Seem okay to me, mind you I have no idea about the competition.

i jsut got a new HTC desire, and loving it,, i looked at the iphone aswell, and was not impressed, the htc is faster, better user friendly, cheaper, lot more customizable, bigger LCD(i think), change the SD card, replacment batterys 24month warrenty, and not a iphone

been serious, the shop i was at, said that they have been down on iPhone 4, lot more people after the 3gs,

the only things i dont like about it,, is the speaker on the back isn't loud enough and i think id be pushing for 2 fulldays of use on one charge,
