Land rover iPhone app - my wish list

I'd like an application that allows you to specify your model of Landy, engine type etc.

You enter the odometer from time time time, eg at refuelling. You also enter the number of litres you put in (it can handle two tanks) and it calculates fuel consumption total and latest tank. Various options on graphic presentation would be available.

It could also have built in service intervals and perhaps "warnings" on what things need replacing, timing belt, injectors, cooling system check.

It would have built in Australia wide contact details for parts suppliers, dealers, independent service people. Using the GPS option it could locate nearest repairer.

In a password protected area, you could load your stereo and mobiliser over-ride codes etc.

Mechanics would pay the developer to be on the database and I would pay $10 for the applic.

Feel free to add any other ideas.

PS apols for the typo in the subject heading. You'd avoid an app where they couldn't spell Landrover.

Great idea mate! But to cover the cost of development I'd not just limit it to Land Rovers - unless you could get a lot of users a specialised app would have to cost the end user at least $50, plus charging the service and parts providers a fee to be part of the listings.

I've got contacts that code for iOS and part of what I do is interface/user experience design - if it was feasible I'd consider looking at development of an app.

At the moment I use an app called Car Minder Plus (iTunes link). It's the best option at the moment in my opinion, but still could be done better.

What rubbish. You don't need a whizz bang computer phone thingy to keep track of a no computers in sight Tdi.

You know a service is due when the grinding noises become worse than usual, and the oil stops leakign onto the driveway.
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".
