$500 sounds expensive to me, surely theres some truck drivers on here know what a vehicle costs to transport.maybe if you put it on a truck and not a car transporter?

SubscriberI had a Defender 130 transported from Brisbane to Geelong with SMB. Cost $880, but that was door to door. If the vehicle is registered it's usually cheaper if you can do depot to depot delivery.

500 is pretty good value for that sort of trip in that direction in my experience
it cost me 600 to bring one down from darwin but it would have cost 900 to send one up at the time...
make sure you take any insurance options...
