I think its great, full marks.
A couple of changes I would do is ditch the box on the back, put in a diesel and this could well be the last car you ever need.

Good work, I am not usually a fan of urban panzer ware but this looks O.K--well great.

    Good work.

    Looks great!

Although this is chit chat - how about some info?

Which order do you apply the colours in?
I assume there is no masking between the different colours?

2-pack? (paint codes would be great!)

looks great. Dont cam the wheels though - looks crap when the car is moving and you need some contrast to the cam anyway I think. The black fittings, snorkel etc... set it off well.

A tutorial....then I couldnt charge for doing others

OK, like most things, its simple in theory, harder in practice.

    Theory is simple:

    1. Brown First. Paint the whole vehicle as if this was the only colour you are going to paint. This will provide a full protective coat, and the other two colours can go on thin afterwards. Let it dry.

    2. Green Second. Mark out your pattern first. Let it dry.
    3. Black last.

My tips for a good job.
    1. The feathering of the paint (the join) is the skill that will make it look either ****, or like it's meant to...not too sharp, and not to "overspray"...its quite a skill to get it looking right.
    2. You dont want a wet look.
    3. The pattern is key. I have defence specs to show me the pattern, which im not going to paste here, but I have seen reasonable facsimiles on the internet. I also painted more than a few of my M-113's in my time

As for paint codes...this is MilSpec paint...as in low signature in the near IR and thermal part of the spectrum. We used it because the paint was out of date (in terms of its signature properties, not in terms of paint), but you dont want to use it. Its difficult to work with, and its bloody expensive.

If anyone wants it done properly, let me know. I will see how much of this stuff we have left. It wont be free, but it wont be expensive, and it probably wont be fast. My painter has other work to do which is a priority. Probably labour and materials, and thats all.
