look out victoria - and tassie!

Victoria on flood watch as storms approach - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)

"The bureau says a low-pressure system could bring rainfalls of up to 150 millimetres across the north-west, north and north-east overnight and tomorrow, and could cause flooding problems for months.

Forecaster Scott Williams says the already-saturated ground provides ideal flood conditions.

"I think we will have a lot of problems lasting into Sunday, Monday and beyond and potentially flooding on the Murray going for weeks after this," he said... "

Better check the seals on your snorkels, and make sure your diff breathers aren't blocked

big flows through the murry would be a wonderful thing. Just a shame it would probably result in flooding in habitated areas as well

    Back to Reality

    Rained all night.
    15mm
    150mm was a little hopeful
Things are clearing and drying out now.
    Did anyone get any better?

We got a phone call from the SES (I think) which was a recorded message and the wife got a text message mid morning. 59.2mm of rain now. I think this thread should perhaps be called look out Tassie, as it appears to be headed that way.
