Why not get yourself a 2 door 110?
They are selling them new again, and there's a few second hand ones kicking about on Carpoint.
I was under the impression if you really love your car then 5000km services religiously. But I'm pretty sure 8000-10000km is about normal manufacturers spec

Front seats tilted/pushed forward. If you really need to stretch out just stick your feet between the front seats. My wife and I did 12 nights in Tassie last year with no dramas - she even commented that its one of the more comfortable camping trips she's done.
In saying that though, one of the reasons we've now got a 110 is that it has a bit more length, and lots more room in general.

im living up at roxby down's (olympioc dam) so when ever i drive somewhere other then around town its a min of around 300km each way so changing oil every 5k become's annoying esp when that is what you do for a living lol i know bloody mechanic's car's.
what i want is something i can take 4wd thats relativly stock but when iam doing an interstate trip with my racing which can be anythin up to 30 or more hours i can drive till i get tired hop in bed have a kip for 2/3 hours and continue driving and when at a 2 day meeting sleep in the car comfortably.
why iam looking for a wagon not a ute.
i almost brought a rrc last year but didnt and one reason was i couldent seep in it.
a 2 door defender would be along the lines iam thinking off
does anyone have the measrement's of a defender 110 wagon inside from the rear door too about 200mm off the front seat's needs to be around 2m preferably.
at most sleeping 2 3 if iam lucky

Bed is 1.9m (about 6' 5").
Construction is plywood hinged on the side closest to side of vehicle to give access to the two storage bins that supports the ply. Both bins are fixed.
I put a bit of fairly solid foam under the ply (glued on) so that with the ply possibly moving up and down over corrugated roads it would cut the noise down.
