I once came across a trailer mounted air compressor made from a 161 red Holden. Made by its owner. The front three ran as normal and the back three were the compressor. Two separate inlet manifolds supplied fuel mixture to the front three and clean air to the back three. The camshaft was reground to give compressor valve timing to the back three. Used for on-site sand blasting and to run multiple air driven belt sanders on home renovation jobs. Worked a treat. I don't recall any fine details of the air plumbing, governor if any, etc.

Terry told me years ago it went to the dump!!!

Dad and I hooked up a 6" irrigation pump to a trailer mounted grey from an EJ as recently as the mid 1990's. I machined up a drive shaft and welded it to a face plate that bolted directly onto the flywheel. She worked a treat. Stock everything including the strommy and airfilter.

Old I know, but still. I know the guy that owns that engine / head. He plans to get it going. It was run on a boat.

The other as someone mentioned was thrown down the tip.

Foster also made a V12 that was designed to run 2 Repco Crossflow heads but it was never completed. I also know who owns that.

That Foster head is rare indeed.

I remember seeing a waggott head at the Bathurst Swap meet around 20 years ago, can't remember the price for sure, but I think it had $5000 on it. The only one that I have ever seen in the flesh.

Wow. I know of one that sold more then 20 years ago for 4 times that. I have seen the proof.

Are you sure it wasn't a repco head?

There are 9 only and I can personally place 8 of them.

You could be right though. If so wow.

I was with my brother in law at the time who is an experienced mechanic by trade. All I remember is that it was DOHC alloy head from memory (don't ask me to describe it now) and he said it was a waggott - the first time he had seen one in the flesh as well. I do remember him saying it wasn't in great condition.
