    This Years V8 Supercar Endurance races

    Hi all, just wondering what everyone thinks of the decision to make the drivers stay in their own car and pair a non championship driver with each full time driver.

    I reckon its the best thing they have introduced for some time. It not only allows more of an opportunity for each car to be competetive but it gives some of the Fujitsu series drivers and drivers from other series' to show what they are made of with a full time driver sharing the driving.

    it sure livened up the Phillip Island 500 and should make Bathurst a hotter contest this year.

    It sucked in previous years because unless a team had two top notch drivers they couldnt compete with the likes of 888, HRT and the like. Now each main game driver is paired up with a 2nd rate driver it levels the playing field some what. Bring on October 10, cant wait.

    It will be no different to the 70s when the best teams had the best co-drivers, engines, tyres, marquees, mechanics etc.

    I think its a good move. It'll be interesting the Skaife team will be quick though and are really running 2x top drivers.

    they need to have pace cars, its just too dangerous for people to be on a hot track without them. But, they need to have at least 2 of them if not more at Bathurst. Will they be closing the pits when under the pace cars?

    yeah some of the top teams have the best co drivers but it still levels the playing field a bit more.

    I cant stand Skaife so Lowndesy doesnt get my vote this year. I would love to see Craig win but I just cant bare to stand Skaife the ****** on the podium.

    Steve Owen showed he has what it takes in Whincups car at Phillip Island, he has some tallent.
