Have to agree, although I do like fresh Barra... trouble is in most places "freshly thawed" seems to pass as "Fresh"

I'm not sure that the recent rise in the AUD relative to the USD is such a bad thing, as the AUD has not risen relative to the rest of the world: rather that the USD has dropped relative to us and the rest of the world. For example, if our exports to China are priced in USD, as I believe many are, then it makes them cheaper for the importer and therefore more attractive.
Anyway, I will try to look after Ean and eat more prawns!
JD, have a great time with the granddaughters and enjoy the good exchange rate!

I get certain special and obsolete taps and dies made in China. They always deal in US$. Ever since our $ topped .90, I have been bunging in stock orders on my US and China suppliers. Better than .51 as it as a few years ago. Bloody credit card people take a generous commisson and a foreign exchange charge. Best I have achieved to date on the Visa is .8956.

In reality that is not the exchange rate the average punter gets, they get a few cents less.
and then there's the manadatory min 10% of the bill tipping. So it will only buy you probably .84 cents

The last time I was about to order some air springs for the Rangie, the dollar plummetted from around 90+ cents to around 60 cents.

    I didn't buy them.
