But you also don't read pm's, emails or any mail either do you?
But, I agree with what you're saying.
I see it here, on Overlander, and on RangeRovers.net and, as a result, I don't even bother opening them.
What are they?
Posts that have titles like "Help Needed!", "Need Help", or "Advice Needed" - or similar useless titles.
If you need help, at least give us an inkling in the title. You might get more help.

Often the answer to Help! is RTFM or do a search as it has usually been asked heaps before.
You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.
But if you reply "Do a search" then we get accused of being grumpy (insert appropriate age group) unhelpful gits
The funny thing is that in order to answer the Q we often have to do a search to find the relevant thread/s
It always amuses me to see two or three threads within a page asking much the same question, a bit like when someone gives a nice, considered answer in a thread, then two or three replies later another comes along and says much the same thing sometimes several hours or a day later.
It's obvious they never bothered reading any of the previous replies.
Much like when someone comes in halfway through a thread and asks a Q that's already been answered two or three replies earlier......
Hmm, maybe we do need to move this to the soapbox![]()
No!
Others might see this as a rant, but I see it differently.
I see it as a piece of helpful advice which, if followed would improve things for the people asking questions and for the people attempting to answer them.
I know you were only joking about moving it.

As for you Rick---
It must get frustrating having to repeat yourself year in year out,,
I had hoped The Good Oil would help in that regard, but it seems this place has gotten so big people just cant find it.
or cant be bothered searching for it--![]()

Agree with Ron... one of the basics for a decent search is a reliable reference to key words... "help needed" ...what for...understanding 'string theory' ?... if one needs assistance one 'should' be required to provide at least a hint of the subject matter in the title...
With a title like this
Take no notice, just practicing uploading pictures
you can't expect to get more than about 430 views in three days.![]()
