Easter is actually late April 2011 (Easter Monday 25 April - Tues 26 ANZAC Day Holiday in the NT). It depends on the particular year but rain in Darwin is usually finished by end of March.

1 May is the start of the 'Dry' season. Weather could be hot and humid or just reasonably hot. Judy and I think the 'build down' (just after rain has stopped but before temperature starts to drop) can be as bad as the 'build up' in Nov-Dec but because the Dry is coming you aren't worried by it.

Everything will be green and lush and plenty of water lying around which may make it steamy and seem humid even if it is not.

Enjoy the trip - you'll love it. Are you driving or flying to Darwin?
    Cheers, Dale

What Dale said. I'd add that if the wet is still hanging around it makes it even better.

Also let us all know when you will be there, even those of us on the eastern side of the Territory may be over there for a long weekend.

I was going to suggest they drop in here if they were flying.
