    annual rituals

is there a place you visit or meet up with a group or a a holiday

something you could align to ground hog day.....we tend to be creatures of habit

GE Annual Pub Crawl, this will be the 21st year a group of us get together on the 2nd sat of nov, no reminders, we just turn up to have a few hundred beers. funny thing is this is the only time i catch up with a couple of the guys yet we live in the same town. only one has attended all and two of us have only missed one

Easter @ Boonah, have been doing this for eight or so years

Xmas in July @ Boonah, have been doing this for the last six years

For the last 10 years I have been attending the Louth Picnic Races (on the Darling River between Bourke and Wilcannia) Population 30, expands to anywhere between 3000 and 5000 for race day. Meet up with friends from Sydney, Melbourne & country NSW for the purposes of fun and frivolity, interspersed with a thousand beers. This weekend is a major fundraiser for the school & the pubs yearly profit.

Our biennial trips together are timed to finish at Louth on race weekend. This year unfortunately it was rained out so we ended up at my place instead.

I go to the William Ck race meeting , weekend before easter every year. Its a lot of drinking , lot of fun, If anyone is interested in tagging along, you are welcome, not much real 4wd driving but lots of dirt roads, mainly the Strezleckie and or Birdsville tracks. I hope next year to track west out of Qld to the Strezleckie/Birdsville tracks and return via Flinders Ranges via Broken Hill then up north to Tibooburra and accross to Noccundra/Thargomindah and whatever takes your fancy on thye bitumen from there.

My mates and I at UNI used to do an annual week long holiday in January every year before UNI went back, was great fun. Once everyone left UNI and started work it seemed to die but would be good to get started again.
