There are a couple of things here that can be done.
Depending on how much this stuff is worth. It could be cheaper and easier to "send" a motor over for specialist "machining". This way you avoid the import tax etc....
Secondly, it could be possible to "purchase" some space in a container. It seems that big and bulky item ship better this way. Weight could be a bit of an issue too if we are talking about straight 8s and gearboxes
Value is around US$4000. No engine involved, I have the Buick Eight engines here. I am buying an adaptor kit, bell housing, flywheel, and clutch assembly and a new Muncie 4 speed gearbox. I am negotiating the purchase of an Offenhauser 270 but this will take some time to be ready to ship.

Just curious, but since you are going to all that effort with the conversion kit, why are you sticking with a 4 speed? A tremec TKO 5 speed (or even a T56 if room allows) wouldn't be that much more expensive, is the same size as the muncie and you get an overdrive gear to make highway use much better.
I wish I could offer my TNT Int express rate.
Ready to cry, $9-/kg anywhere to anywhere worldwide. Max 7 days from collection to delivery incl clearance costs and time. Last shipment was picked up on Thursday afternoon (German time) delivered 9am local in Sydney, 130 kg pallet/carton, $1170- plus gst equaled just $9- extra per part for the customer.
The option was to have parts I had in stock machined locally. Cost for that $35-ea plus 4-6 weeks, so saved machining costs plus would have had to bring in some stock as locally I didn't have enough for the job.
I looked at bringing in a high mount warn last month, 60lb package.
USPS $400- 4-6 weeks
Fedex $780- 7-10 days
DHL $810- 5-7 days
TNT non acct pricing approx $200 4-6 weeks sea freight or approx $500 air express 7-10 days.
Try to find a car importer and have it loaded in a container that's coming anyway.
I just got my 2nd of a 2 part package from Canada. Total weight of the 2 packages was 21kg, total cost was $270. I could have got it for $240 if they'd come together, but that would have pushed the value into the tax zone.
Freight as by TNT, their on-line tracking is very accurate too, instead of the usual "in transit" message, they log all depot stop overs, customs clearing times and reasons for any delay. Each package took 4 days via economy freight.
