    1 millionth viewer?

    Can anyone tell me why when I logged onto AULRO this morning There was a pop-up box saying "you have 3 messages" when I clicked on to the box thinking it was responses to yesterdays new thread (the first I have posted) I was directed to a website saying "congratulations, you are over the 1 millionth viewer of this site, and have won a $3000 shopping spree. Call now on **** a NSW phone number within 240 seconds and we will throw in a holiday for to Disney World.
    It is obviously a scam but why on this site and has anybody else seen it when they log on?

    Its an advertisement, nothing to do with the site apart from the fact someone paid the ad agency to have it on forums. Its better than the drop down ads that keep on appearing! and lately i've had popups and another ad floating across the bottom of the page!

    They are the same sort of fake dialogue boxes that people use to get you to their porn or scam sites.

    I thought that one was pretty obviously non-genuine.

    haha, yes that's an ad. The drop downs are a pain.

    I'd like to know why I keep getting the weight watchers join for $1 advert?
