    Urgent assistance needed WA

A guy in a silver disco 1 with NSW plates towing a camper trailer about 250klms out of port headland heading towars kalgoolie has done a front tail shaft and some other damage and is looking for assistance.

his father contacted me and said he has limited phone contact

i advised about dripping front shaft and using center difflock and he is going tell him to try that.

if you know a mechanic out that way that might be able to help please pm me so i can pass it on.

This is probably not much help, but the only Landy specialist up north WA I am aware of is Whyatts in Geraldton: http://www.aulro.com/afvb/verandah/1...ecialists.html

Unfortunately from where he is to Geraldton is probably still 1000km away.

He might be able to order parts he needs from there though and get them sent up closer to him.

I've been in touch with his father but we cannot contact his son as he is 200K's from Port Headland.Hopefully he will make his way either to Headland or to Newman,if he gets to Headland he'll get advice on the repair or I'll help if he gets to Newman. There is not much we can do until he gets in contact. Hi all I am Darrens father and wish to thank all of you people and also Sandy from the Auski Roadhouse for all of your help, some people who stopped and spoke to him rang me once they got to town and told me what they knew.
Sandy from Austi roadhouse went for a drive out along the road and rang me to say that a flatbed with my sons vehicle on the back went past him about 20ks from the roadhouse so we now know he is rescued.

Pat303 has offered to fix the vehicle for us once it gets into Newman.

So to all of you many thanks. Your actions restore faith in the human race

It's what we're good at, Mick. Happy to hear he is being looked after.

Sorry folks one thing I meant to add in my post re the assistance my son got was that anyone travelling past the Auski Roadhouse between Newman and Port Hedland call and give Sandy and the crew there your patronage, they are evidently great people and I am sure you will get looked after.

Exactly. Wonder if other 'lesser' marques would see this sort of support from a like minded group of owners? Well done all, especially you PAT303 for your assistance.
