Heat problems on Defer Country?
I was down Albany way last week and saw a Defender Country(green colour) didnt get a chance to talk to the ouner but noticed that on each of the front fenders, fitted onto the chequer plate he had a snorkel looking head mounted. My thoughts were that he was trying to get more air into the engine bay, anyone seen this before

they are just extended air vents to get more air flowing through the heater blower... can get them at paddocks etc.. personally i like the KBX style ones.. dont look too silly that way

Hi Davie, Countys, mainly the V8s, tended to get engine swaps to bigger V8s, and some of these conversions may have had more cooling problems than stock vehicles. Even 4+ hours in low range amongst sand dunes doesn't cause a heat problem for my stock diesel County.

As you say Steve, but I didn't want to say it first, they do look silly. Going through the scrub you are sure to get one or both ripped off. I had just never seen anything like it.
