I dont care - in fact I dont care so much, I dont care that I dont care
but I did laugh at that moronic woman crying and emotional about ophra being here for the 2 seconds I watched before puking because of it.
mind you it took until today to actually open this thread because I thought that it was going to be all oooo Ophra how wonderful
You were all warned :o
That woman in that "Hysterical Fan" clip seems to be under the impression that she has to make the most of her "fifteen minutes of fame", or in her case fifteen seconds of fame by putting on a performance.
I wonder how long it took her after the TV cameras were off her, to calm down. She looked suspiciously like the schoolgirls I have seen on more than one occasion, who can be reasonably calm one minute, but hysterical the moment they notice that they have managed to attract attention to themselves.
She must have a desperately impoverished life to think there is some good reason to make a spectacle of herself like that. Imagine how much more impoverished her life would have to be for that to be a genuine reaction.
Someone should have told her that the AFI awards have already been given out, that the Walkleys are for journalists, not the people they film, and that the Oscars are not for a while yet.
well if no one else is going to state the bleeding obvious, i will.
IT'S UNAUSTRALIAN!
I was at U2 Monday night...took my seat...and then it happened. I could not believe my misfortune. All five rows in front of me were taken up by the septics who had come here with Queen Oprah Lattifah...in their blue shirts with Oprah downunder logos.
And lo and behold, just as U2 came on..the human headline herself was escorted past me by more security staff than Obama gets. The amount of people running down to get grainy photos of her was embarrassing. I'll post a pic later
just got a tweet from miafreedman at the opraha house , they are been told when to laugh when to clap and when to be silent
That happens at just about every show that is filmed with a live audience.
On Oprah been here i personally dont see the attraction and it cleary shows housewives have to much time on there hands:o
Having seen Australias previous attempts at luring travellers here Oprah may well turn out to be money well spent. Dont worry if the septics dont have any money the show is shown in 140 odd countries. Thats a lot of delusional women been told to get to Australia its an amazing place.
Never seen an Oprah show. No idea of her audience demographics.
$4M is bugger all in the scheme of things. If it gets even 0.1% of Americans coming to see Australia it will be worth the outlay. At the very least it is positive advertising for Australia.
Compare that to the completely dud World Cup soccer bid for $45M which gave Australia zero profile anywhere, and made us look ridiculous. That was always going to go nowhere.
