I dont think I own many, but here are mine:

Yellow/Mustard Coloured is a LWB SIII 2.25D not sure on age, suspect 71-79. Fitted with extra stationwagon tank.

Green Coloured SWB SIII 2.25D, '73 runs like a dream. Picked it up from a local roo hunter and restored back to original (seats, dash etc)...just needs paint!

    SII SWB C/R under restoration.

I would have to say there are a few avid collectors out there that would make mine little collection look small!

have you not got ID plates on the firewall on yours?

    If you look here

Land Rover FAQ - Repair & Maintenance - Series - Chassis Numbers - Your Chassis Number

it will tell exactly what year and many other things by the chassis number

    hope it helps

i only have a 98 SE7 but i found a farm the other day that had what looked like 2 old landies sittting in the shed. Trying to get the wife to agree on selling in the burbs and buying the farm as long as it comes with the landies. I think these machines are a disease........NO KNOWN CURE

Those of us who bought the right Land Rover only need the one.

    1973 Series III LWB 1983 - 2006
    1998 300 Tdi Defender Trayback 2006 - often fitted with a Trayon slide-on camper.

I think the only real difference is that I am limited just to the Land Rovers I need, while you are able to have (most of) the Land Rovers you want.

I wouldn't mind a Series I. Surely they are the most fun. I certainly thought so after a short drive several years ago in one my brother restored.
