No reason to call conspiracy just because England are too good at the moment. Our blokes need to stop the dummy spits and wild swings and pointless bouncers and knuckle down and play tough, patient, hard cricket.
Whilst I would like to think that all things England are as pure as the driven snow,I recognise that International sport is big business, and cricket in Aus is owned by the nine network Packer group, who over the past couple of decades have corrupted the game, and AFL(Eddy?) for their own financial gain.Unfortunately money talks and it's all about bums on seats and TV advertising revenue.
While English fans tend to stick by their team through thick and thin, many Aussies are only ''fair weather fans'' and paying crowd and presumably TV audience numbers drop off dramatically when the home side isn't doing well, so the ''organisation'' stage manage the results so that everyone ''wins'', including the gullible fans.IMO sports fanatics generally aren't amongst the sharpest pencils in the box and are easily fooled.
Cynical of me I know, and i hope i'm wrong, but as we've seen with the global warming/climate change industry, when money is involved it IS possible to fool most of the people all the time when the media are in on the act.
Wagoo.
I'd like to know how this stage management is achieved,,
(not being the sharpest pencil in the box cos I watch the cricket.)
I also watch the footy,,
is that stage managed too?
hmm, While I think F1 CAN be stage managed to a certain degree, can you do it over 16 races?
or How about The World Cup?
plenty of money there--
Definitely corrupt...without a doubt. The U/9's 2005 grand final between the Gymea Gorillas and Como-Jannali Angels was definitely rigged :p
The word "generally'' doesn't mean "all'', But if by your own admission you are one of the dull pencils,How could you possibly comprehend any of the answers to your questions that I might offer?:)
BTW, I watch cricket and football too, when there is no wet paint or green grass around to keep me entertained.
Wagoo.
Give the footy and the cricket the flick...switch over to this :)
