    Dam Water Post Xmas

Just enjoying the 1/2 day of sunshine we are having here today, then thought to go to the BOM site to look a little further and "BANG" I see it's raining in Brizzie.....still

Ok then, "So how's the dams going peoples", has Anna let you wash your vehicles?

We have been lucky in that our three here are spilling over I will have to take local reports as read, as I can't drive to two of them as yet.

    Dry Regards,
    PeterW

    Xtreme,
Looked up Warragamba (after finding out that it belongs to Sydney, not on the rest of NSW site), bemused that Syd environs are not getting so much. I used to live in Merrylands moons ago.

Well, the bureaucrats in power have implemented permanent water conservation measures which is code for, "we'll tell you how to run your lives and how much water you can use despite the bleeding obvious weather you can see outside the window."

Right now it is still raining and the 12 dam water grid is currently running at 100% full.

The truth is just leaving the old Landy outside means it is getting a wash.

    OGG,
Seems that you have more water than you can poke a stick at. I can't wonder if it is just too hard to info residents that its OK to use water for now and clean up. Eventually the water will then go to the lowest place, perhaps the water ways.

N.B. I rarly use soap when washing the car and most of the time in the bush when bathing in waterways. I say this as I do approve of messing up the waterways.

    Regards,
    PeterW

Here in sydney they made the restrictions permanent so they can tell us things are "normal" All hoses must have a trigger watering gardens during set time etc some things are fine but its the spin that gets me On the other hand it is good the dams are on the way up fairly fast at the moment good to see warragamba full.

    Wow,
Vehicles and outdoor areas can be washed at any time – as long as water is used efficiently

Who on earth monitors this? Is one person doing it better than another?

I gues if you are not using a fire appliance or similar this would be hard to argue.

Must mention now that when in Wee Waa a few weeks ago and staying in a motel (that was good), I asked where I could wash my (new puma) as it was covered in bugs etc. Can't do that! Had to wait till I got home. Not a biggie but there is and was water everywhere.

    Regards.

If they took all the restrictions off regards washing cars a lot of unskilled jobs would disappear overnight at the Hand Carwashes
