"diabilitt parling plagues for xmas"
A bit of ointment will clear that up![]()
was at Bunnings today in Scoresby, in the disabled parking there were a few 4wds parked all displaying disabled parking plaques ( a couple of Prados and a couple of 4wd utes.)
As I hobbled past with my broken toes and spinal injuries, but I can still walk with a hobble and wouldn't dare getting a plaque and depriving a more needy invalid from one.
But on leaving as i hobble back, it amazed me how these other disabled people can carry stacks of timber and load them onto roof racks and even climb into there hi 4wds?
Did santa hand out passes for xmas?
I don't doubt their eligibilty for them, but the criteria must be very low to get one.
Any thoughts?

Iv'e seen and heard of this quite often.
The people who are disabled don't want to take the parking spot thinking there is someone worse off who might need the parking bay.
Yet those who think they are dissabled(short term type) are out for what they can get
Over heard a conversation the other day....
Parking will be hell, I'll take hubbies car as it has the parking permit,
And I'll only be 1/2 an hour so it wont hurt

Wife has a disability sticker permanently in her car for her Mum as we (read she) provides transport for the MiL. Although tempted on occasions, SWMBO has never used it without having her Mum in the car. You do need a doctor to sign off on the Qld. Transport official paperwork to get one, so someone in thier family maybe legal and the bunnings crowd are abusing the rules.![]()
Yeah touchy issue, but there are many I have seen that have them and abuse the system eg can walk around the supermarket etc for hours, carry loads etc, but dont believe they can walk an extra 20 metres to their car.
They should be for people with mobility or perception problems only, not just any disability.

Yeah, I am amazed sometimes when I see so called "Disabled people" walking back to their vehicles. It would seem that being fat is a disability these days however. If thats the case the parking spaces should be at the rear of the carpark to make them walk further.

Well I hobble back to Bunnings to return the tool I bought earlier today again the disabled parking was full.
this time a few very spritey people alighted , with NUM ( normal unrestricted movements and hurried into the store.
They were wearing glasses, so maybe that was their disabilty.????
I was tempted to say something, but I am not judge and jury though. This lot all 4 cars parked were of one ethnic group, must be a coincidence.that they all shopped at the same time and all were disabled.
