My parents have just left Bundy, so I will be able to give you a more accurate update from Childers south in an hour or so.
As for North of Gin Gin, I haven't been looking, but usually it goes down quick.
Roads are very bad & potholes are deep & nasty, so if your wife does go, ask her to take care :)

Bruce highway over the Isis river is open. Bruce highway through apple tree creek on the north side of Childers is open, but reduced to one lane with traffic control. Road is in very very very bad condition.
I know no body going north as of yet to help you with the road in that direction.

they are going to stay o'night here again and try in the morning as they are heading to mackay and there is also some difficulty near rocky.
