Thread: Bundy floods pics

Here are some photos I have taken over the last few days.

These photos were taken on boxing day 26th December

So went out & about for a look at the floods today.

Standing at the mower shop looking down towards Kennedy bridge with the cricket grounds on the left & the marching rounds on the right.

A few pics whilst standing on the old traffic bridge. The tide had peaked while we were there, but once it started to drop the water was absolutely flying :shock:






























I will post another post with photo's from the 28th December (yesterday)

These photos are from the 28th December around Lunch time, waters have risen quite considerably on the overnight high tide, since these pics were taken. I will endeavour to get some more pics on today's tide so you can see the height difference.


More rain here & upstream says the river is rising & will be for a couple of days at least.

Looking from near the by wash over Kendall's flats cricket grounds.


Lake Allen (sp) near the by wash at the western end of baldwin swamp. There is a massive play ground under all that water, only a few of the tall climbing toys are peaking through.






On the other side of the road is a flat paddock that use to be a dump site, they have recently put a flat bitumen track on there for the cycling club to practice on. I think they might lease it out tot he rowing club for a bit.


Back down near the mower shop I was standing near to take the pics of the cricket grounds & marching club the other day. The road is now closed off & under 4 feet or so of water in places,

We did the old traffic bridge walk again, although got drowned & only made it halfway this time ;-)
But this boat floated out of the slipway & down the river :shock: it somehow floated out into the middle & missed everything as it went down the river :shock: :shock:












So back under the bridge for a couple of shots of the water height on the bridge pillars. Don't worry about my water marks, something has gone wrong in the process & I couldn't be bothered fixing it today ops: [oops] Compare the pics above.






Over to targo street to have a look how home hardware & the stihl shop was fairing :shock: :shock: Compare to the pics above to see how far it has come up again....









The melbourne hotel is closed & the water is lapping at the steps :shock:

There is a road & car park under this yacht


If the water reaches the stihl sign, it has reached the top story of their building. That is where they shifted the stock to as it has only ever flooded up there twice [oops]

Unfortuanately for the mower shop, the water looks to be stihl rising.
