    For you Classic Motor bike fans

    Ok pilrims of the classic bikes. Have a look at this.
    c1901 AJS Wearwell Veteran Motorcycle

    probably one of the oldest bikes in Australia. Only looked as my mate is in to restoring AJS motor bikes, he's doing a resto on a 1927 back to original, so oftentroll through ebay .
    oh if one only had spare coins to be able to afford toys

    An interesting old jigger. A motorised bicycle showing the origins of motor-cycling coming from bicycle makers.

    I am surprised by the high bid, and more surprised by that bid not meeting the reserve.

    These early veterans are really just curiosities to be displayed and admired. They really are not fit or safe for road use in modern traffic. Almost non-existent brakes for a start, often no clutch. At least this one has a lighting system. Up until about 1930, motor-cycles could be bought and registered without lights.

    I go to the swap meet there every year. Quite a good one.

    I know a few enthusiasts who have had issues with the operators about displaying their bikes there. If you are contemplating loaning a bike for display, you need to go into the ground rules and costs thoroughly first.
