Only problem is that it's damned heavy at almost 100kg...but that aside has anyone had experience with these?

    same question...

Not actually used this brand, but we have plenty of this style set in our work fleet. You won't regret buying an inverter style set over a conventional unit. They are more economical as the engine revs vary depending on load, where as a conventional unit will run at the same speed regardless of load. This also leads to a longer life. These units won't kill any sensitive electronics like some others can. They will however require a bit more TLC than some others, as they have a heap of electronics to make it all work - while this in itself should not put you off - we have had very few problems with ours, and they are in a hire fleet, so if they were going to break down, we would have seen it by now.., but if you leave things about in the open, or in poor or dusty environments, you may want to think hard, as these are the sort of thinks that will kill them.

I use a Yamaha 2400kva unit when out camping. Recently ran a mobile coolroom for a week almost continuously. Turned off at 2000hrs and on again at 0600hrs. Didn't miss a beat. Coolroom was 6' x 4' x 4' commercial grade.
regularly run lights, battery chargers, music sound system and instruments off it also. Great bit of gear.
