Yes Mick,the good old days.Around the early sixties judging by the cars.1500 factories with apprentices, in the days before Gerry Harvey and his cronies started buying from Asia which ended up closing most of these factories.
Sorry to get off the subject but I did enjoy that tape.That was the Australia I grew up in ,50's & 60's.
Well and truly gone now.

all dressed up in suit and tie,and the fun (as a young bloke) going home to Manly on the last ferry in a Southerly blow,particularly on Barracola,with green water washing across the lower deck,and,in the evenings up the X on the M'cycle
can clearly remember watching the Bennelong Shark get built, and can remember the opening,pity they didn't show a little more of the various workplaces and industry.
