I agree with it going straight to his wife...

from my experience working with Deceased Estates in banking I can tell you they legally have to freeze accounts and need certification, wills etc to release and disburse. It gets complicated and it is the last thing anyone would want to have to battle with when you're greiving. The less stress the better

Thanks for the response and interest Incisor, It would be good to benefit people associated to Aulro in this manner as the die hards seem a caring bunch.

Ok chaps and chapess's I reckon it looks like a card with some folding in it after the funeral, hopefully I can make that dependent upon the mundane such as duties.
If anyone wants to do similar or even just to send a card from over east maybe they should get the family address off Beefy through P.M.
It's a beautiful thing how so many people still come together in this day and age of self.

Indeed it is. Unfortunately all too often it takes a tragedy like this that may well have been avoided should he had known how much support, to bring everyone together.
Sometimes the happiest people are hiding the darkest fears...

I think Pinks song " Pretty Pretty Please" really says alot if you listen....

Yeah it's certainly refreshing to see the good in people come out against a backdrop of such a tragic event.

That may well be able to be tied in with the previous post regarding an AULRO charitable trust It would be interesting to get the feelings of other members regarding this,Initially i put this forward to benefit members in times of tragedy or in times of need such as qld, but if people were willing to get of their rings to raise funds for external causes, that would both benefit the charity and promote Aulro, issue being we seem so widely spread.

If an account is opened I'll pass one what ever I can. Every little bit helps.

    Hi all,

I just wanted to make a post to to reinforce some of the content in previous posts, over the last few years, months, weeks I have been feeling an overwhelming sense of despair

I made a visit to my GP the other day on the back of what has happened and she recognised the symptoms immediately

If you are feeling fatigued most of the time followed by fits of energy, can't sleep, don't feel like eating, losing weight, zoning out during situations of stress or generally feeling like everything is on top of you.......... seek help

A visit to the GP, call a helpline, talk to someone close or who you love, get on the net and research, let it out, just don't ignore it for your, or your family and your friends sake

The stigma over mental illness is should no longer have any relevance, young or old, we live in a high pressure society and it can take its toll

If any good at all has come from Chris passing away it is self awareness and communication

    Much love

    Jake

Thank you for sharing your story Jake

As for cash being sent - I am happy for people to use our account and we will either write his wife a cheque or pull cash (obviously too large an amount is dangerous for her to carry) . Both Simon and myself should be attending. If you're comfortable with that let me know - you just need to put "CHRIS HARDIE DONATION" on it so if the ato ever looked at our accounts they know it isn't a purchase
