    Tassie Floods

Jumping on the "Spirit" tomorrow (Sun) and heading down to Mole Creek to see how bad the damage is. Planning on 2 weeks (got emergency leave from work).
Taking the county.....wave if you see a one headed driver.....I'll be around Mole Creek, Deloraine, Launceston till the 27th
    Cheers

Towing the van through to penguin yesterday and hit a flooded section of road at about 80kmh, made it interesting for a bit. Damage I have seen on the nw is only superficial and most was sorted by days end.
    cheers

I was in St Helens last monay looking for real estate because we would like to be closer to the family and also we are sick of the floods in Qld.
Two days after being there St helens was flooded and isolted from the rest of Tassie
Just wonder if there is land available on the tip of Mt Wellington

Mount Wellington would be too cold for a banana bender to acclimatise too, it snows up there. For Qlders that have never seen snow, its this white frozen rain like a 7 Eleven slurpy that drifts down from the heavens

I lived few years in tropical Hobart, and I know that living close to MT Wellington is a no-no
I am not a banana bender, lived 15 years in NSW, then Tasmania and Qld
