Don't laugh - this is (almost) exactly what Laurence Hartnett did in 1928 as sales manager for GM Sweden; chartered a disposals German battleship, and used it as an icebreaker to deliver a shipment of new GM cars to Finland before the ice on the Baltic thawed, thus stealing a march on competitors.Quote:

got to love the "ship" section! 26000 for a nice size bout that could so easily be made into a liveaboard dive boat! if these are regular events, I will definately be keeping an eye out in the future for one of those RIBs too...

Withams have a government contract to sell MOD kit off. There used to be a couple of places which did this however as an efficiency measure the government changed to only one place with a contract which runs for a few years. What actually appears at the auction varies each time.
10 years ago there were paddocks full of series 3 Land-Rovers which took years to clear.
