How do I add a poll to a thread?

For some reason wont let me add one on the soapbox thread Belief in God.
Was just going to add a poll to see:
1: Devout Christian
2: Christian but by my rules
3: Devout Other Religion
4: Non-Believer or Agnostic
If you could add it would be good just to gauge peoples beliefs. If not I thoroughly understand. Very sensitive subject, but one I think is important to discuss and discuss without too much emotion.

Appears on mine and I'm not 'mod' at all. Rather 'old school' myself.
