Call Peter Mann at Southern Cross 4690 2379. He's an instructor and is always looking for an excuse to get out.
Otherwise try AllTerrain 4X4 in Prescott St 4639 1931.
Downs 4x4 club also do training days as well (if you're a paid-up member).

The other day at work, I had to take a business associate to a project site that required 4x4. The work Hilux (ugh..) was booked out (and, well, its a Hilux...), so I took him in my D2.
Next thing you know, he's telling my boss how good it was in the D2, boss is then thanking me for taking the initiative and says that work will pay for me to attend a weekend 4x4 course with my wife in the D2! 8-o
So, I've been having a bit of a browse through what's available straight up on a google search in terms of 4x4 courses near Brisbane etc, and while some look ok, none have really stood out. Wondering if anyone has some suggestions or experinces?
What the boss indicated (and what I'd like) is a 2 day, camp overnight, comprehensive 4x4 course, but I have not seen anything of the like so far, only basic 1 day courses, or advanced courses that require you to complete the basic one first.
I'm based in Toowoomba, and would drive as far as the Sunshine or Gold Coasts. Any advice would be nice![]()

Thinking about doing one myself, I found this company - Aust 4WD advanced driver education. According to their blurb they are Nationally recognised, and have mining company training packages, compliant with the relevant health @ safety and BHP , BMA, transportation and oil and gas production standards. Having said that, they appear to be one day courses, on Saturdays, Dayboro [nth], Kooralbyn [sth].They are pricy,$270, and from what I can see, only one course at a time [ Bush ,then sand etc] probably not for me, but if the Boss is paying, might be worth a look. web site ... www.australian4wd.com.au Bob
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food
A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking
OK folks, go check out the Gold Coast Land Rovers Owners club forum.
They do DAREs ( Driver Awareness & Recovery Education ) every so often and you will be learning from and with other landy owners. Can't get batter then that!
See the link below and ask them when the next DARE is on.

Thanks. Is that Southern Cross car sales? Does he provide some sort of certification?
Thanks, I saw & it looks ok. I was more inclined toward this mob though: 4 Wheel Drive bush training Australia. (Price doesn't particularly worry me, cause I ain't payin')
Thanks, but I can't view the forum as I don't have GCLROC permissions.
