    Well I'm chuffed
Spent $20 at A auto shop on a festoon L.E.D for the interior light, this little sucker punch's out light from 6 SMD's(?) enough to not ever worry about needing the old torch to look around........goodbye incandescent globe forever
AAHHHH!!!!just the little things that make you happy to own a Defender that is till the next *###* thing goes wrong.

Check out ebay. You can pick them up for a few dollars in all shapes and sizes.
They are a great replacement though.

    $20 for one? I prefer $2.99 for two. e.g.:

2x 12 SMD LED Festoon Light Bulb C5W 31mm Xenon White | eBay

    Cheers

Be careful though, a few I tried from dealextreme.com and jaycar weren't nearly as bright as the one I got from this place LED Light Bulbs, LED Auto Light Bulbs, Marine Replacement Bulbs Australia & Worldwide

I've only ever had Jaycar and ebay ones so can't compare the brightness to the ones Ranga showed but they are bright enough. Much better than standard.
One I have (from ebay) has a slight blue look but it has been a one off so far.

OK, ok, ok !! It was a spur of the moment thing, when the "BOSS" says to you, "Yes you can spend up to $50 on the Def" you just go crazy and buy what you can lay your hands on....Bug off, degreaser,Mothers car soap...and a shiny new LED globe
So yes I could have saved some money and got one cheaper elsewhere, but heh I just saved myself over $500 just by getting some Landy things from the UK and I can't wait for them to get here, new re-trim kit for front seats (Exmoor trim) A Mantec snorkel and many other things
